Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced oncology/hematology clinic. Under direct supervision, you will perform patient care tasks, collect vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and assist with injections and procedures while maintaining schedules and ensuring safety.

This role requires a high school diploma, a medical assistant certificate, EMR experience preferred, and at least one year of ambulatory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 1 year ambulatory experience preferred.
• 1 year EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and assist with exams and procedures.
• Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vitals, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested; administer injections as delegated.
• Answer patient calls and coordinate scheduling; inform physician of patient reschedules/no-shows.
