Job summary

Merck seeks an Associate Director in Global Learning & Development to partner with Oncology business leaders, translating business goals into effective learning strategies and solutions. You will oversee design and delivery through a network of internal and external colleagues, ensuring measurable impact on performance and outcomes.

The role requires a deep business understanding, collaboration across GL&D, HR, and external partners, and a track record of leading learning initiatives in life

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Combination of experience in facilitating / delivering learning solutions, sales and/or relevant pharmaceutical/oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Oncology Business Leaders.
• Align business leaders on the implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies, and large-scale change efforts on employee learning and development in their respective business areas.
• Develop depth of business understanding to maximize relevance and impact on business outcomes.
• Determine learning strategies and plans based on identified needs and gaps to achieve business strategy; align with GL&D and external partners.
• Prioritize and manage portfolio of work and overall Learner Experience with integrated plans across GL&D.
• Create line of sight for divisional clients into short-, mid-, and long-term L&D plans and access to resources.
• Provide input to curriculum design and development to ensure business relevance and impact.
• Collaborate with HR partners to integrate learning solutions with talent initiatives.
• Deliver training and/or support local SMEs providing training as needed.
• Partner with the business to define outcomes, measure impact, and use data to improve solutions.
