Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in medical scheduling or related background.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all cycles of infusions and related injections in OncoEMR once authorizations are received.
• Coordinates infusions with MD/NP visits.
• Ensures all paperwork for chemotherapy scheduling is completed daily.
• Reviews daily schedule to ensure treatments and follow-up appointments are set.
• Communicates with patient caregivers and healthcare professionals to adjust scheduling as needed.
• Contacts patients prior to appointments about changes when appropriate.
• Coordinates appointments with front desk for physician follow-ups and RN treatments.
• Ensures patient education for oral and IV chemotherapy is documented.
• Provides clerical support to other departments as requested.
• Completes other duties and projects as assigned.
