Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a new graduate Infusion RN to join our residency program in Seattle, WA. The role emphasizes chemotherapy administration, patient education, and collaborative care delivery with a skilled preceptor team.

Residents follow a structured onboarding schedule and develop clinical judgment across oncology, immunotherapy, and bone marrow transplant concepts, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license (MSL) or ability to update to WA MSL within 60 days.
• Oncology nursing experience not required; training provided.
• BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement plans of care based on disease and treatment.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and treatment effects.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies.
• Monitor patient response and adjust care as needed.
• Contribute to research and evidence-based practice.
