Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to drive growth in the Nashville, Tennessee territory. You’ll educate stakeholders, address needs, and work with a team to meet or exceed sales goals while traveling for meetings and national events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience OR a minimum of high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Equivalent experience can be professional sales experience, work experience in healthcare/scientific field with oncology experience being strongly preferred not sales related.
• Valid driver’s license and able to drive a vehicle.
• Travel the amount of time the role requires, including overnight travel 10 - 15%.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed the assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Build business relationships and trust with key stakeholders to uncover needs.
• Communicate a patient-centered rationale for Oncology products in indicated uses.
• Understand tumor types and treatment pathways to inform conversations.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment across multiple distribution channels.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term plans with the local team and district manager.
