Job summary

Merck Oncology Sales is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to engage with customers, educate key stakeholders about our oncology products, and work to achieve or exceed sales goals in the assigned territory.

This is a field-based role covering the Phoenix North, Arizona territory. Travel to visit customers in-person and attend national sales meetings/industry conferences is required. Travel percentages and overnight stays vary by location.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed the assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to understand practice structure and needs.
• Communicate patient-centered rationale for Oncology products in indicated uses.
• Understand cancer staging, treatment options, pathways and guidelines for different tumors.
• Analyze market trends and multiple drug distribution channels (GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies).
• Review product purchase patterns (outpatient vs inpatient, hospital or GPO contracts).
• Collaborate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and local team to develop short- and long-term plans.
