Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to cover the Phoenix North, Arizona territory, engaging with customers, educating stakeholders about oncology products, and driving sales performance. Willingness to travel for visits, national meetings, and conferences is required.

You will collaborate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and other specialists to understand practice structures, build relationships, and advocate for patient‑centered product use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience.
• High school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in healthcare/science fields with oncology exposure preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 10‑15%.
• Residency in or near the district.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members in the territory to attain or exceed sales goals.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless customer experience within Oncology.
• Engage customers with approved resources and messaging for patient‑centered rationale.
• Understand cancer staging, treatment options, and guidelines to assess patient impact.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment across multiple distribution channels.
• Review patterns for products purchased (outpatient vs inpatient) and contracts.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term plans with local team and district manager.
• Ask insightful questions to identify customer priorities for strategic conversations.
• Ensure consistent customer experiences and share learnings with the in‑scope team.
