Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director, Field Planning, Oncology to lead call planning, targeting, and territory sizing initiatives. This role directs field structure and supports brands' strategies with analytics and cross-functional partnerships across FPAT and MABI teams.

The ideal candidate will drive cycle-based planning, optimize field deployments nationwide, and supervise one direct report while shaping enterprise-level strategies for Oncology franchises.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical/health care experience is a must.
• Prior sales planning experience with responsibilities aligned to this role is a must.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: align on long-range strategic plans for Oncology brands and ensure field deployment supports strategic imperatives.
• Targeting: refine Account and HCP targeting with FPAT and MABI leadership to optimize field resourcing.
• Call Planning: develop cycle-based call panels aligned with marketing and sales objectives.
• Sales Force Sizing & Alignment: manage cycle-based adjustments to field alignments for evolving market needs.
• Ad-hoc Analytics: generate timely insights on trends/events; translate into standardized reporting when needed.
• Operational Excellence: advise on processes to reduce cycle time and improve cross-functional dependencies.
