Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse CNC to support patient-centric care as part of an interdisciplinary team in Seattle. The role involves nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with duties in direct and indirect patient care and research integration.

The position is 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) with responsibilities spanning education, triage, medication administration, and coordination of care across services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have current Washington State RN license or multi-state license (MSL) and upgrade to WA residency within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification required with renewal every two years.
• Oncology experience preferred or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs; plan and evaluate care.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, and side effects.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Refer to social work, home health, nutrition, and other resources as needed.
• Implement, evaluate, and modify plan of care; integrate research into practice.
