Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team. This 1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week role focuses on patient-centric nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, developing care plans, educating patients and families, coordinating with the team, referring to resources, and integrating research into practice. WA RN license and BLS required; oncology training provided; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• WA State Registered Nurse license (or MSL) with WA residence updated within 60 days.
• Current BLS certification and renewal every two years.
• Oncology experience or training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, emotional, and social needs and plan care.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment and side effects.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Refer to social work, home health, nutrition and other resources.
• Implement and evaluate the care plan and integrate research into practice.
