Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Clinical Account Executive, Oncology in Detroit, MI. The role is field-based and requires living within the territory (Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, MI).

You will lead strategic account planning, build partnerships with hematologists and oncologists, and drive compliant, patient-focused engagements to meet brand objectives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in pharma/biotech sales, strong business acumen, and a track record of delivering results in a dynamic oncology environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics
• Ability to take on larger roles quickly and drive results
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel regularly by air or car
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screening

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs
• Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders
• Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise while delivering compliant, customer-focused engagements
• Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences
• Continuously evaluate territory performance using data and insights to optimize execution
• Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every interaction
