Job summary

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute in Eugene, OR seeks a Patient Services Coordinator to register and schedule patients, answer calls, and relay messages between patients and clinical staff. You will support adherence to US Oncology Compliance Program and handle confidential information in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role requires using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, plus scheduling experience and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some scheduling experience in a specialty office preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.
• Demonstrates adaptability and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Manages a schedule for a provider, including labs, office visits and chemotherapy.
• Answers, screens, and responds to routine questions; routes to appropriate personnel and takes messages.
• Schedules returning appointments with times, locations, and instructions.
• Records cancellations and reschedules; notifies staff and updates patient chart.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA and related guidelines.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
