WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist in direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role supports family-centered care and helps with basic tasks to promote comfort and safety.

Scheduled for 36 hours per week, night shift, non-exempt. Requirements include a high school diploma and BLS/First Aid within 30 days; prior patient care experience is preferred. Location: Morgantown, WV.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bed making.
• Safely transport patients and escorts for tests and discharge.
• Perform routine phlebotomy in designated departments.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed by policy.
• Provide respiratory support and assist with rehabilitation activities.
• Communicate patient concerns to a nurse promptly.
• Maintain clean and safe environment to prevent infections and hazards.
• Assist with routine unit operations and answer phones/call bells.
