WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a part-time patient care assistant to support direct patient care under a registered nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and basic procedures, while ensuring patient comfort and safety on a night shift in Morgantown.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential, as is adherence to safety policies and infection control. A High School diploma is required, with BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire date is required or planned.
• Prior patient care experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in direct patient care to promote comfort under RN supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bed-making.
• Transport patients and specimens safely per policy and assist with discharge.
• Perform routine phlebotomy and glucose monitoring where permitted by policy.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and basic measurements per policy.
• Support routine unit operations and communicate effectively with RN and staff.
