WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking a nurse aide to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, basic tests, and patient transport in a 36-hour weekly, night shift setting.

The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and patient-centered care, with required high school diploma and BLS/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in direct patient care and basic physical care as directed by the RN.
• Help patients with activities of daily living and bed-making.
• Safely transport patients to tests and procedures.
• Perform routine tests (glucose monitoring, urine/stool tests) per policy.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and weights as directed.
• Provide respiratory support and operate oxygen equipment.
• Observe/report patient concerns to RN immediately.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to prevent infections.
