Qualifications

• Proficiency with medical billing software (OncoEMR, Aria, Epic, or eClinicalWorks) and clearinghouses.

Responsibilities

• Arrearage management: monitor and resolve aged accounts receivable for patient and insurer balances.
• Denial management: identify, appeal, and resolve oncology-related claim denials.
• Prior authorization verification: review claims against approvals for billing compliance.
• Compassionate collection: contact patients about self-pay balances with sensitivity.
• Financial counseling: identify patients for financial assistance programs.
• Payment agreements: set up and monitor structured payment plans.
• Documentation: maintain notes in EHR and PM systems.
• Compliance: adhere to HIPAA, FDCPA, and internal policies.
