Job summary

The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time, on-site Insurance Reviewer to join our oncology team. The role focuses on verifying insurance coverage and securing prior authorizations to ensure timely treatment starts for patients.

Under general supervision, you will coordinate with providers, payers, and care teams, maintain EMR and PMS entries, and stay current on payer guidelines and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years medical insurance verification and authorization required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• Experience in oncology or hospital-based administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorization for scans, labs, chemotherapy visits, and other services as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with co-workers, insurers, and referring providers.
• Review orders and EMR/PMS documentation to support timely authorizations.
• Coordinate with physicians and insurance companies for referrals and approvals.
• Ensure accurate data entry in PMS and EMR and track authorization statuses.
