Job summary

The Cancer Center of Kansas in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time, on-site Insurance Reviewer to join our team. The position reviews chemotherapy regimens and orders to ensure compliance with reimbursement guidelines and timely prior authorizations.

Under general supervision, you will coordinate with insurers and providers, obtain necessary pre-certifications, and maintain documentation in the EMR and PMS while upholding HIPAA and network policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years medical insurance verification and authorization required.
• Associates degree in Healthcare or Business-related preferred.
• High school degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations for scans, labs, chemotherapy visits and other services.
• Maintain professional relationships with co-workers, insurance companies and referring doctors.
• Review orders in EMR to determine need for prior-authorization and obtain as needed.
• Provide required information to insurance companies and case managers as needed.
• Coordinate peer-to-peer discussions between physicians and insurers.
