Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with MSN and WV RN/APRN licensure.
• Certification by a recognized APRN certification center is required.
• BLS certification with potential ALS training as required.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for hematology/oncology patients in the infusion center and ambulatory setting.
• Completes daily rounds; pre-treatment or pre-procedure evaluations in the infusion center; participates in ambulatory clinics and inpatient care.
• Orders tests or consults as deemed appropriate with clinical guidelines and SOPs.
• Documents plan of care and coordinates discharge planning and follow-up.
• Provides education to patients, families, and staff; mentors nursing personnel and participates in community programs.
• Participates in research, performance improvement activities, and inter-disciplinary committees.
