Job summary

Interstates in Iowa and Nebraska is seeking a Lead Orientation Specialist to own the enterprise orientation program from offer to initial training and transition into an assigned role. You will coordinate schedules, instructors, facilities, technology, materials, travel, and learning activities while ensuring a welcoming, consistent experience for every new hire.

You’ll serve as the central point for Recruiting, HR, Workforce Planning, Instructors, IT, Safety, Payroll, Hiring Leaders, and more,

Qualifications

• One year of progressive experience in orientation, onboarding, learning and development, talent management, human resources, workforce development, program management, or a related area—or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the orientation experience: lead enterprise orientation program for professional, craft, and manufacturing team members; coordinate from offer acceptance through initial technical or craft training and transition into an assigned role.
• Plan and manage schedules, presenters, instructors, facilities, technology, materials, communications, travel, and learning activities.
• Facilitate orientation sessions and help new team members understand Interstates’ culture, values, safety expectations, and business operations.
• Create a consistent experience while keeping each interaction personal and welcoming.
• Monitor progress and proactively resolve issues affecting the new team member experience.
• Ensure smooth handoffs into assigned teams, field roles, or shop positions.
• Coordinate travel and logistics: oversee travel, lodging, transportation, scheduling, and other orientation and training logistics.
