Mercy House is seeking an HR Coordinator to oversee the onboarding process for new and transferring employees. The role is based in Santa Ana, CA and requires travel to Mercy House locations.

You will conduct orientations, manage offers and paperwork, and ensure compliance with HR policies. This position emphasizes in-person onboarding, strong communication, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity while collaborating with the HR team to improve processes and staff

Qualifications

• Proven onboarding experience or similar HR role.
• Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Paycom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new hires and transfers.
• Conduct new hire orientation covering policies, benefits, and culture.
• Manage internal transfer paperwork and process with internal teams.
• Verify work eligibility (E-Verify) and track onboarding tasks and expirations.
• Suggest improvements to onboarding program; stay updated on best practices.
• Attend staff meetings and quarterly trainings.
