Job summary

Baseten is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to own the onboarding experience for every new hire, from offer through Day 1, in a remote-first environment with a San Francisco office option. You will collect documentation, greet new hires, assist with sessions, and help keep onboarding on track as we grow.

You will partner with IT, Workplace, and Global Mobility to ensure access, equipment, and smooth start logistics, while coordinating background checks and HRIS profiles.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in a high-volume coordination or operations role.
• Based in San Francisco and able to work in the office 3+ days per week.
• Extremely clear written communicator.
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented with a tactical, get it done approach.
• Experience incorporating AI tools, such as Claude, into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the onboarding experience from offer signature through Day 1.
• Ensure completion of onboarding tasks (background checks, Form I-9s, HRIS profiles).
• Coordinate travel logistics and start location arrangements.
• Partner with Global Mobility on immigration matters that may affect start dates.
• Support day one and SF week one onboarding programs with managers and buddies.
• Collaborate with IT and Workplace to ensure access, equipment, and desks on day one.
• Oversee onboarding platform logistics and vendor relationships.
• Evolve the role across the employee lifecycle and automate repetitive steps.
