Job summary

Viking is seeking a seasoned Hotel General Manager to lead the entire hotel operation aboard our ocean vessels. The role requires ensuring exceptional service standards and seamless coordination across all hotel departments to deliver a world-class guest experience.

You will drive cost control, budgeting, and revenue performance while leading a diverse crew and maintaining strong guest relations under Viking’s STAR Service Standard.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Hotel General Manager with a strong focus on cost and revenue, and a hands-on approach to operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the entire Hotel operation on board the ship, liaising between Deck and Engine departments.
• Plan and manage cruise layouts with Department Heads to ensure accurate and efficient execution.
• Oversee sales of shore excursions, future cruises and tour dispatches; verify revenue reports vs target.
• Maintain ship finances including inventories, forecasts, purchase orders and accounts.
• Provide leadership to direct reports and manage a multicultural team; daily updates with Team Leaders.
