Job summary

Carnival Cruise Line is seeking an experienced Commis to join its galley on board its ships. You will assist cooks, prepare meals according to recipes, and ensure presentation and quality meet company standards while upholding USPH guidelines.

Rotation is 8–9 months on, 2 months off. A minimum of 3 years in hospitality on a hotel, resort, or cruise ship is required, with English proficiency and STCW/health certificates. This role involves crew and guest interactions aboard cruise ships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years hospitality experience on hotel, resort or cruise ship.
• English language proficiency and ability to work in a diverse team.
• Covid-19 certificate and STCW basic training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and presentation of all food served and monitor consistency.
• Follow USPH and HACCP procedures in all food production and galley maintenance.
• Assist the cook in directing and leading trainees.
• Serve food on service lines and present to company specifications.
• Follow recipes to company specifications and minimise wastage.
• Communicate and cooperate with team members for smooth food delivery.
• Ensure garbage separation standards are followed.
• Perform tasks assigned by senior management.
• Advise Superiors on products received.
• Maintain hospitality standards towards crew and guests.
