Job summary

Carnival Cruise Line is hiring an Assistant Cook to join the onboard culinary team. You will prepare meals, follow recipes, and ensure food quality and presentation per company standards. You’ll work within a large culinary operation and the USPH guidelines.

The rotation is 8–9 months on, 2 months off, offering a dynamic career at sea. The role requires prior experience in a high-volume kitchen, physical fitness, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year's experience in a restaurant, hotel, or cruise ship environment.
• Experience in a high-volume professional culinary environment.
• Physically strong and able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs for demanding work.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• US Visa C1/D is preferred but not required at start date.
• Covid-19 certificate and health certificate.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation across a range of culinary areas following recipes.
• Follow recipes and specifications to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain high levels of sanitation and cleanliness per USPH standards.
• Assist cooks and commis chefs and provide back-up for service lines.
• Support logistics, preparation, and other tasks for the culinary team.
• Communicate and cooperate with team to ensure smooth food delivery.
