Job summary

RailPros is hiring a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to perform on-site roadway worker protection around live railroad tracks. You will handle job site coordination, dispatcher/train communication, and various on-track safety tasks across multiple projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and extensive RWIC experience, with travel across several states. Strong radio skills and safety training are essential, along with willingness to complete ongoing safety and onboarding trainings.

Qualifications

• Must maintain required on-track safety qualifications.
• Daily job briefings with all personnel.
• Prepare and submit required forms for each assignment.
• Operate signs, derail and locking devices as needed.
• Maintain radio communication with dispatchers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide required jobsite protection on each assignment in accordance with railroad rules.
• Ensure work groups are clear of limits during train movements.
• Coordinate with RWIC supervisors on schedules and assignments.
• Maintain a high level of safety and compliance with company policies.
