Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to provide on-site roadway worker protection around live railroad tracks. You will coordinate job site activities, manage communications with train dispatchers, and ensure safety requirements are met across multiple assignments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and railroad maintenance experience, with proficiency in MS Office and reporting. Travel across several states is expected as part of project schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of Class I railroad MOW experience preferred.
• Proficient in radio communications between RWIC/EIC and work groups.
• Strong safety mindset and on-track safety qualification knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site roadway worker protection per project requirements.
• Coordinate job site activities and ensure clear limits during train movements.
• Conduct daily job briefings for all personnel on site.
• Prepare and submit required electronic forms and reports.
• Place signs, derail equipment, and manage equipment weighing 15–90 pounds.
• Maintain communication with RWIC supervisors and managers.
