Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to perform on-site roadway worker protection around live railroad tracks. You will coordinate job sites, manage dispatcher communication, and ensure on-track safety across controlled and non-controlled track areas.

Expect field leadership duties, daily safety briefings, and documentation with electronic forms while adhering to safety standards. Willingness to travel across multiple states is required for project coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 20 years of experience in STI/ATS/Foreman or RWIC roles; or 20 years as RWIC with Class I/II railroad.
• Background checks and drug/alcohol testing required; onboarding and recurring training mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide required jobsite protection per rules and radio dispatch communications.
• Conduct daily job briefings with all personnel on site.
• Prepare and submit required electronic forms (job set-up, daily reports, invoices).
• Place signs, derails, and manage on-track equipment and locking devices.
• Maintain safety communications with RWIC supervisors and support scheduling.
