Job summary
RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to provide on-site roadway worker protection on and around live railroad tracks. You will coordinate job sites, handle radio communications with train dispatchers and engineers, and ensure adherence to On Track Safety rules. This role requires travel across many states; a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years in track/construction are required, plus CSX FCI certification.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years track/construction experience.
CSX On Track Worker and Operating Rules certification preferred.
Willingness to travel frequently to multiple states.
Responsibilities
Provide jobsite protection on each assignment per railroad rules.
Maintain clear communication with train dispatchers and engineers.
Conduct daily job briefings with all personnel on site.
Submit required electronic forms (job setup, daily reports, invoices).
Handle signs, derail and equipment as needed.
Travel across multiple states as required.
