Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to provide on-site roadway worker protection for activities on and around live railroad tracks. You will coordinate job sites, dispatch/train communications, and ensure On Track Safety in controlled and non-controlled track areas.

The role requires a high school diploma, 20 years of supervisory/ RWIC experience (or STI/ATS/Foreman), and completion of onboarding and safety trainings; travel across multiple states is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 20 years of experience in roles such as STI/ATS/Foreman, or 20 years as RWIC with a Class I/II railroad.
• Employment contingent on background checks, drug/alcohol testing, onboarding and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide required on-site jobsite protection per rules; coordinate with dispatchers and engineers.
• Conduct daily job briefings with all on-site personnel and ensure safety requirements are met.
• Handle and place signs, derail and other equipment as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain communication with RWIC supervisors and managers regarding assignments and schedules.
• Support a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture and adhere to company policies.
