Job summary

MIRATECH in Houston, TX is seeking an Order Expeditor to maintain visibility and urgency around open customer orders. You will ensure internal teams are aligned on priorities and help remove obstacles to complete and ship orders on time.

The role supports production flow, improves communication, reduces past-due orders, and strengthens overall delivery performance. You will coordinate with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Quality, Customer Service, and Shipping to resolve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing, logistics, production planning, supply chain, customer service, order management, or related role.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or production environment with changing priorities and time-sensitive customer requirements.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience using ERP, MRP, inventory, order management, or production tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open orders from entry through shipment, tracking status and readiness.
• Coordinate daily with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Quality, Customer Service, and Shipping to identify risks and resolve delays.
• Expedite materials, documentation, work orders, and internal approvals needed for delivery.
• Review order priorities, due dates, and backlog to determine follow-up or escalation.
• Communicate status updates, delays, revised completion dates, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Purchasing and Inventory Control to investigate shortages or delays.
• Work with Production to confirm work order progress and recover schedules.
• Support Shipping by verifying readiness for shipment and resolving documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate order tracking reports, backlog updates, and delivery performance metrics.
• Escalate critical issues to management when commitments or timelines are at risk.
• Participate in meetings to provide updates on high-priority orders and risks.
• Assist with continuous improvement of order fulfillment and communication flows.
