Proto Labs in Minnesota (Brooklyn Park) is hiring an On-the-Job Trainer to support onboarding and ongoing development through hands-on instruction, coaching, and performance support. You will work with team leads and cross-functional partners to train employees on procedures, safety standards, and company policies in a proactive, practical setting.

The role emphasizes structured learning, documentation, and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a shift pattern from Monday

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a training/teaching position in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Methodology.
• Experience with Cornerstone is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and teach others in group and one on one settings.
• Ability to interpret and effectively communicate technical work instructions to a culturally diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Train employees in manufacturing procedures and policies.
• Create and maintain Work Instructions and training materials.
• Instruct students using Work Instructions and show how to locate relevant materials.
• Maintain training plans and records for students.
• Certify students' skill attainment with technical leads.
• Coordinate training coverage for off-shift students.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Strive to improve work processes and performance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
