Job summary

Protolabs is seeking an On the Job Trainer to support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of employees through hands-on instruction and coaching in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will partner with team leads and supervisors to ensure effective training on processes, safety standards, quality expectations, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a training/teaching position in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Methodology.
• Experience with Cornerstone is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and teach others in group and one on one settings.
• Ability to interpret and effectively communicate technical work instructions to a culturally diverse workforce.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, both written and oral, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Train employees in manufacturing procedures and policies.
• Create and maintain Work Instructions and training materials.
• Instruct students and show how to access relevant work instructions.
• Maintain a training plan and records for students.
• Certify students' skill attainment with leads.
• Coordinate training coverage for off-shift students when needed.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards in the department.
• Keep area clean, organized, and safe, focusing on efficiency.
