Job summary

Protolabs in Minnesota is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a fast-paced manufacturing team on the FLEX shift (Friday–Sunday, 6 pm–6 am). You will ensure safety, quality, and performance while coaching staff and driving continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of manufacturing/operations management experience.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Ability to train and coach staff effectively.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily manufacturing shift activities.
• Identify training needs and ensure staff are qualified.
• Ensure production output aligns with schedule and quality requirements.
• Evaluate performance and conduct annual and 90-day reviews.
• Plan overtime and vacation requests and manage resources.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and safety compliance.
