Job summary

Protolabs in Minnesota is seeking an On-the-Job Trainer to support onboarding, training, and ongoing development through hands-on instruction and coaching. You will partner with team leads and managers to ensure effective training on processes, safety standards, quality expectations, and policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in a training role in manufacturing, lean manufacturing experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a training/teaching position in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
• Cornerstone is a plus.
• Ability to influence and teach others in group and one-on-one settings.
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical work instructions to a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Train employees in manufacturing procedures and policies.
• Create and maintain Work Instructions and training materials.
• Instruct students and show where to find relevant work instructions.
• Maintain a training plan and records for students.
• Certify students' skill attainment with technical leads.
• Coordinate training coverage for off-shift students as needed.
• Adhere to safety, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and seek process improvements.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
