Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Trainer to deliver on-the-job training and develop SOPs for a manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on coaching new hires and tenured staff on processes, SOP procedures, and new products, with hands-on training on the production floor. The trainer will maintain and update the SOP binder, create new SOPs, and collaborate with team leads, supervisors, and HR to identify training needs across the operation.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Responsibilities

• Tailors training materials and provides direction to trainees.
• Ability to assess, coach, and train on various operational and procedural material.
• Works closely with Team Leads, Supervisors, Management, and HR to understand training needs.
• Implements and develops teaching aids based on workforce needs.
• Oversees testing and evaluation procedures for training completion.
• Conducts training sessions including new employee orientation, OJT, refresher, and retraining.
• Reports on progress of employees under direction during training periods.
• Provide clear communication to management via e-mail or verbally.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
