Job summary

Field Fastener in Machesney Park, IL is seeking a VMI Customer Service Representative. This full-time, on-site role focuses on providing on-site customer service, monitoring and replenishing customer inventory, and representing Field at customer locations. The position reports to the VMI Team Leader and requires lifting up to 50 lbs and limited supervision.

Starting hourly pay is $18–$20. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), paid vacation/holidays, and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years in a customer service and/or warehouse role with customer interaction.
• Experience in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary customer contact, manage inventory levels, create orders, and build relationships.
• Stage and deliver product within the customer’s facility and resolve issues.
• Maintain organized space for racks and labels and participate in training programs.
• Use a portable scanner to collect inventory data and report to Field.
• Collaborate with customer sites and Field account managers to ensure system meets expectations.
