Job summary

Thruway Fasteners, Inc. is seeking a Vendor Managed Inventory Lead to oversee in-plant VMI services at a Chicago, IL site. This full-time, on-site position operates Monday through Friday on the second shift, focusing on inventory control, replenishment, and daily customer collaboration.

The role requires managing a 2000 sq ft secured warehouse, performing cycle counts and daily bin audits, and ensuring accurate, timely restocking. A HS diploma or GED and warehouse experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, secure warehouse area (~2000 sq ft cage).
• Receive inventory at customer location and perform cycle counts.
• Pick, pack, and stage replenishment orders daily after scanning.
• Attend daily customer meetings to adjust inventory levels with the customer.
• Ensure all orders match customer sizes and specifications.
