Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I to enter accurate vehicle data, install GPS trackers, and manage entry logistics at the Cox location.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and reliable physical stamina for outdoor conditions and manual tasks. You may handle multiple tasks including labeling, directing transporters, and contributing to safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred or less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Able to lift 1–15 pounds.
• Vision capabilities include close, distance, color vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Input vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer for each vehicle received (VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make/year/mileage/color).
• Install GPS trackers in OBII port or with security cable and remove license plates.
• Affix barcode/stock stickers and place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles.
• Flag 'no key' cars and direct transporters to the correct drop zones.
• Report transport damage as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Cross-train for check-in and provide assistance when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, including selling day drives as needed.
• Overtime may be required (>40 hours/week) based on business needs.
