Job summary

Responsibilities

• Participates in the technical on-call rotation cycle which includes 24-hour availability
• General working knowledge of most systems
• Ability to make correct judgment decisions
• Working knowledge of operational procedures
• Adheres to departmental procedures and standard work processes
• Administers needed changes to procedure manuals and other documentation
• Answers the Information Service Center telephones in a professional and courteous manner
• Deploys equipment, installs or upgrades software, and resolves issues with departmental computer systems, peripherals and software
• Logs all calls in the Information Service Center database
• Provides technical assistance to users and instructs users in proper use and maintenance of personal computers and peripherals
• Reports urgent problems to appropriate staff immediately
• Tracks and identifies recurring problems and takes corrective action
• Works closely with other Information System staff and serves as a technical project resource as assigned
