Job summary

Peraton is actively seeking a Tier II Deskside Support Technician to join our on-site team in Livermore, CA. You will provide deskside support for PCs, printers, and peripherals, and troubleshoot Windows and Office applications while assisting with mobile devices and imaging tasks.

Applicants should have advanced support experience, strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills, and be eligible to obtain a DOE security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with required experience or equivalent
• U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
• Tier 2 or advanced technical support experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft Office applications
• Hands-on PC hardware repair and peripheral support
• Familiarity with iOS devices and basic MDM
• Experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN/TCP/IP/Wi‑Fi
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside support for PC hardware, peripherals, printers, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Support mobile devices, including iPads and iPhones, with configuration and connectivity issues
• Diagnose and resolve intermediate to advanced network connectivity problems
• Handle and resolve incidents escalated from the Tier 1 Service Desk
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system
• Collaborate with IT staff to identify recurring issues and propose long-term solutions
• Maintain a strong customer service focus while assisting end users
• Assist with hardware deployments, upgrades, and imaging as needed
