Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Tier 2 Service Desk Technician in Albuquerque, NM. On-site role supporting Windows and Office, iOS devices, and network issues. Expect direct end-user interaction and collaboration with IT staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Experience with Windows environments and Microsoft Office.
• PC hardware repair and peripheral support experience.
• Familiarity with iOS devices and mobile device management basics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• PC hardware certification such as CompTIA A+.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi.
• Prior Tier 2 or advanced technical support experience.
• US Citizen and able to obtain DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside support for PC hardware, peripherals, printers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Support mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) with configuration and app issues.
• Diagnose and resolve intermediate to advanced network connectivity problems.
• Handle and resolve incidents escalated from Tier 1.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recommendations in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT staff to identify recurring issues and long-term solutions.
• Maintain strong customer service focus while working with end users.
• Assist with hardware deployments, upgrades, and system imaging.
