Job summary

Otovo SRL is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and generators in Hemet, CA. You will work hands-on with electrical systems, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide clear status updates to customers while upholding safety standards and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years of electrical experience.
• State electrical certification or license (Journeyman, Wireman, or equivalent).
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments.
• Commission new systems and upgrades while ensuring NEC/AHJ/utility compliance.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout, and fall protection.
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty-related repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners and customers regarding system status and repair recommendations.
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites.
