Job summary

Otovo is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and generators. This role involves hands-on work across site visits with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of electrical experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of NEC/AHJ requirements. You will read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and communicate clearly with homeowners while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of electrical experience.
• State electrical certification or license (Journeyman, Wireman, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments.
• Commission new systems and upgrades while ensuring compliance with NEC, AHJ, and utility requirements.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout processes, and fall protection requirements.
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty‑related repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners and customers regarding system status and repair recommendations.
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites
