Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC seeks a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist for full-time, on-site services at a Cameron County facility in Texas. The role requires expertise in speech, language, cognitive-communication, swallowing, and related disorders, delivering therapy and documenting progress in the resident health record.

The candidate will act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring services align with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Current and unrestricted Texas SLP license through TDLR.
• CCC-SLP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as facility SME on speech, language, & swallowing disorders.
• Provide rehabilitation services for speech and communication deficits.
• Offer services for dysphagia, social-pragmatic delays, and cognitive difficulties.
• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities.
• Evaluate related oral, pharyngeal, and esophageal functioning.
• Identify impairments through diagnostic evaluations and assessments.
• Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Develop and oversee therapeutic habilitative and rehabilitative programs.
• Provide clinical SLP services to residents.
• Collaborate with departments and interdisciplinary teams.
• Attend meetings to support continuity of services.
• Train and supervise staff conducting habilitation activities.
• Ensure activities follow treatment recommendations.
• Monitor programs for compliance and effectiveness.
• Support quality of care and resident well-being.
• Provide feedback to staff implementing programs.
• Update or develop programs and protocols based on outcomes.
• Oversee QA and QA activities.
• Support disaster response and Continuity of Operations.
