Job summary

Hireology is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to support in-house therapy services for residents in a SNF setting in Texas. The SLP will evaluate swallowing and cognitive deficits, design individualized treatment plans, and provide AAC solutions to improve residents’ communication and safety.

Collaboration with the care team is essential. Active Texas licensure and ASHA certification are required; experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLP in Texas in good standing.
• ASHA Certification required or active.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care preferred.
• Ability to work with residents with varying personalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for communication.
• Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on therapy goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for assessments (MBSS/FEES).
• Document accurately and timely for billing and records.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and regulations.
