Job summary

Hireology is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, on-site role in Texas. You will evaluate residents, implement personalized therapy plans, and collaborate with the care team to improve swallowing and cognitive outcomes.

Responsibilities include educating residents and caregivers, coordinating with physicians for procedures, and maintaining accurate billing and documentation. In-house rehab support and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology and in good standing.
• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of current treatment practices and documentation systems.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Assist residents to improve cognition or swallowing.
• Educate residents and caregivers.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase independence.
• Provide AAC systems for expressive and language disorders.
• Train clients, families, and staff as subject matter experts.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Maintain clinical documentation and billing records.
• Ensure confidentiality and comply with laws and regulations.
• Provide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentation.
• Respond to family requests and concerns timely.
• Coordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staff.
• Assure resident abuse or neglect does not occur.
• Observe confidentiality and safeguards for all patient information.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
