Job summary

Progressive Rehab Solutions is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients in a long-term care or related setting in Texas.

The role focuses on improving communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function, with opportunities to educate patients and families and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Licensure in Texas and CCC-SLP eligibility are preferred; one year of experience is common.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for practice.
• Active state licensure as SLP required.
• CCC-SLP preferred; not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments and clinical judgment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, physician orders, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide dysphagia management and education to patients and caregivers on strategies and safe eating.
• Complete all clinical documentation accurately and timely per Medicare, regulatory, and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and participate in planning meetings.
• Maintain licensure and engage in continuing education to support quality care.
