Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our in-house rehab team serving residents in Beaumont, TX. The SLP will evaluate swallowing and cognitive deficits, develop treatment plans, and provide AAC and education to residents and caregivers.

Current Texas licensure and ASHA certification are required, with experience in SNF/long-term care preferred. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and competitive compensation within a hospital/rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current ASHA Certification
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Assist residents in improving cognition or swallowing.
• Provide education for residents and caregivers.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase independence.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with speech and language disorders.
• Offer training to clients, families, and other staff as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate diagnostic swallowing procedures as ordered by physician.
• Demonstrate competency with current speech therapy standards of practice.
• Communicate changes in resident condition.
• Maintain accurate billing records and clinical documentation.
• Coordinate training with Restorative Nursing and other staff.
• Ensure resident safety and prevent abuse or neglect.
• Observe confidentiality and safeguards for patient information.
