Job summary

Aladdin-Bail-Bonds is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of our retail and investigations services in a fast-paced, on-site environment. The role emphasizes AR, AP, and financial reporting while maintaining high accuracy and strong prioritization.

This full-time position requires leadership in month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and coordination of annual audits, with opportunities to contribute to treasury management and cash flow reporting.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of work experience in Accounting, Corporate Finance and Treasury functions.
• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Accounting Software and general ledger entries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
• Excel skills: intermediate to advanced including formulas, data organization, reconciliations, and reporting functions.
• Experience with billing and collections in a professional services environment.
• Experience with intercompany transactions.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Retail Accounting in carrying out agency’s mission and vision.
• Support and build best business practices for processing Retail deposits and customer AR cash receipts, vendor payments, and claims processing.
• Lead monthly and year-end closing processes; prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers.
• Coordinate the annual financial audit, preparing schedules, work papers, and data for the final report.
• Complete all duties accurately and on time per deadlines and practices.
• Lead project accounting work, organizing AP, invoices, and vendor communication.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Assist with treasury management and review financial transactions with high detail.
• Prepare cash flow reporting for various projects and monthly financials.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly financials; produce production reports.
• Review A/R and A/P payments (wires, ACH, Bill Pay, checks).
• Support other internal teams as needed and adhere to timelines and processes.
